Day 1 – Heading West!

Board our deluxe motorcoach as we begin our unforgettable journey to the American West.

Relax, meet your fellow Dashers, and enjoy the changing scenery as we travel toward South Dakota.

Tonight we'll stay at our comfortable overnight hotel.

Day 2 – Across America's Heartland

After breakfast we'll continue west with a stop at the beautiful Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, where colorful gardens and tropical displays provide the perfect break in our journey.

Later we'll enjoy dinner before checking into our overnight accommodations.

Day 3 – Badlands National Park

Today we arrive at one of America's most spectacular landscapes.

Marvel at colorful rock formations, dramatic cliffs, deep canyons, and sweeping prairie views unlike anywhere else in the country.

We'll also stop at the legendary Wall Drug Store, one of South Dakota's most famous roadside attractions, before continuing to our South Dakota hotel.

Day 4 – Mount Rushmore & Custer State Park

Today's adventure is packed with iconic sights.

🏛️ Borglum Historical Center

Learn about sculptor Gutzon Borglum and the fascinating story behind Mount Rushmore.

🗿 Mount Rushmore National Memorial

Stand before one of America's most recognizable monuments honoring Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln.

🦬 Wildlife Loop Road – Custer State Park

Watch for bison, pronghorn, burros, elk, prairie dogs, and other wildlife while traveling one of America's premier scenic drives.

Dinner and evening entertainment complete this unforgettable day.

Day 5 – Historic Deadwood

Travel to the legendary frontier town of Deadwood, once home to Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane.

Enjoy a guided tour through this beautifully restored National Historic Landmark before having free time to explore shops, museums, and historic buildings.

Dinner is included this evening.

Day 6 – Crazy Horse Memorial

After breakfast we'll visit the fascinating Journey Museum, where you'll gain a deeper understanding of the history and cultures of the Black Hills.

Later we'll experience the incredible Crazy Horse Memorial.

Still under construction, this monumental tribute will eventually become the world's largest mountain carving, honoring Lakota leader Crazy Horse and celebrating Native American culture and heritage.

Dinner and evening entertainment are included.

Day 7 – Devils Tower

Today's highlight is the remarkable Devils Tower National Monument, America's first National Monument.

Towering nearly 900 feet above the surrounding landscape, this awe-inspiring geological wonder is considered sacred by many Native American tribes and is one of the country's most recognizable natural landmarks.

We'll continue to our Yellowstone area accommodations for a two-night stay.

Day 8 – Yellowstone National Park

Today we experience one of America's greatest national treasures.

Learn the fascinating story of John Kendrick, whose remarkable journey from cowboy to United States Senator is an inspiring chapter in Wyoming history.

Later we'll continue toward our overnight accommodations.

Day 10 – Corn Palace

Today we'll stop at one of America's most unique landmarks.

Each year this remarkable building is decorated with thousands of bushels of naturally colored corn, grains, and grasses, creating incredible works of art unlike anything else in the country.

Dinner is included before our overnight stay.

Day 11 – Amana Colonies

Before heading home, we'll visit the Amana Heritage Museum, where you'll learn about the history, traditions, and craftsmanship of one of America's best-known communal settlements.

Enjoy one final overnight stay with your Dash Getaways family.

Day 12 – Homeward Bound

Following breakfast we'll begin the final leg of our journey home.
