Day 1 – January 1, 2026 (Tour Begins in Cairo on January 1st, due to the time change and length of flight, please plan on flying December 31st to land in Cairo on January 1, 2026)

 

Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by your personal representative who will assist with visa formalities and provide a smooth transfer to your 5-star accommodations at the Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel. Unwind in your beautifully appointed room or explore the hotel’s fine dining and spa amenities as you prepare for your Egyptian adventure.

Day 2 – January 2, 2026

The Grand Egyptian Museum & The Great Pyramids of Giza
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast before joining your expert Egyptologist for a journey into ancient wonders. Visit the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)—home to over 50,000 artifacts including the complete collection of King Tutankhamun’s treasures.

After a local lunch with a pyramid view, we will explore the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. Your day will include entry into the Pyramid of King Khufu, - built over 4,500 years ago (with options to visit the other pyramids). Marvel at the architectural genius and walk in the footsteps of pharaohs. Admire the enigmatic Great Sphinx, a monumental limestone statue with the body of a lion and the face of a king. Complete your visit with a camel ride across the desert sands, offering unmatched views of the pyramids before returning to your hotel to relax.

Day 3 – January 3, 2026

Old Cairo, the Citadel of Saladin, and Saqqara Step Pyramid

After breakfast, your Egyptologist will guide you through the treasures of Old Cairo, where ancient history and vibrant culture converge, including the Hanging Church and the Synagogue. Begin your day at the Citadel of Saladin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an iconic fortress that has stood guard over Cairo since the 12th century. Explore the stunning Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known as the “Alabaster Mosque,” for its gleaming white walls and breathtaking panoramic views of Cairo.

Continue to Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s oldest large-scale stone monument, designed by the architect Imhotep around 2650 BC. Wander through this ancient necropolis and marvel at the vibrant tomb decorations depicting scenes from daily life in ancient Egypt. Return to your hotel to relax and indulge in its luxurious amenities.

Day 4 – January 4, 2026

Today we have been granted special access and have reserved a private time for you to enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu to visit the King and Queens chamber and venture down to the subterranean level below the Great Pyramid. 

(We will have a chance to go back to the hotel and change and have breakfast before going to the airport for our flight to Luxor)

Flight to Luxor and Private Tour of Karnak and Luxor Temples

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Luxor, the world’s greatest open-air museum. Upon arrival, your personal representative will escort you to your Nile River view room hotel where you will check in. Lunch in a local restaurant, then you will begin your Luxor exploration with a private tour of the Karnak Temple Complex, a sprawling site that served as the center of worship for over 2,000 years. Walk through the grand Hypostyle Hall, with its towering columns carved with intricate hieroglyphics and visit the Sacred Lake. Next, explore the Luxor Temple, a stunning blend of Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, and Islamic architecture, illuminated beautifully at night.

Day 5 – January 5, 2026

Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Village of the Workers, and Colossi of Memnon

Check out of your hotel, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before embarking on a journey to the legendary Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs lie hidden. Visit the richly decorated tombs of King Seti I,  King Ramses IV, King Tutankhamun, adorned with vivid scenes of the afterlife.

Continue to the majestic Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a masterpiece of ancient architecture dedicated to Egypt’s first female pharaoh. Conclude your morning with a visit to the Village of the Workers, with the best colorful tombs and ruins of the workers village since 1250 B.C. on your way back to the cruise stop by the imposing Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that have stood sentinel over the West Bank for millennia. Return to your cruise Movenpick Royal Lily Nile Cruise, lunch, relaxation and free afternoon.

Day 6 – January 6, 2026

(Optional Hot Air Balloon ride - $150.00) free morning and sailing.

Today in the early morning you will start your day by enjoying a hot air balloon ride for those who wish to see a spectacular view of Luxor, the Nile River and going near the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut's Morturary Temple. Then we head back to the cruise ship for breakfast where we will meet up with the rest of the group to start another adventure to Luxor west bank to visit the temple of Habu for King Ramses III with the beautiful colors. We will visit the home of Howard Carter, the man who discovered King Tutankhamun's untouched tomb. After that, we will return to the cruise ship to start sailing to Edfu for overnight.

Day 7 – January 7, 2026

 

Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

After breakfast, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Ride a horse-drawn carriage to the temple and admire its towering pylons and vivid reliefs depicting ancient rituals.

Sail to Kom Ombo and explore its unique double temple, dedicated to the god Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus. Learn about ancient medicine and view mummified crocodiles in the temple’s museum. Return to the cruise for a festive Galabeya Party, where guests dress in traditional Egyptian attire. (We will have time prior to the Galabeya party to shop for attire for those who wish to dress in authentic wear.)

Day 8 – January 8, 2026

Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple, and Nubian Show

After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that tamed the Nile and created Lake Nasser. Next, take a boat ride to the enchanting Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and famed for its picturesque setting on an island.

Return to the cruise for lunch and a relaxing Felucca sailboat ride along the Nile, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of Aswan. In the evening, attend a vibrant Nubian cultural show on board.

Day 9 – January 9, 2026

 

Abu Simbel Temples 

Check out early from our cruise ship and board a motorcoach bus to Abu Simbel, one of Egypt’s most iconic sites. Admire the two massive rock temples built by Ramses II, with their colossal statues and intricate carvings. These temples were relocated in a remarkable feat of engineering to save them from rising waters. You will be back in Aswan to enjoy the beautiful hotel right by the water to relax and have a free afternoon.

Day 10 – January 10, 2026

Return to Cairo (late evening)

We’ve arranged for a late hotel checkout so you can enjoy more time in beautiful Aswan—whether that means relaxing poolside with a stunning view of the Nile, visiting the Unfinished Obelisk, or doing some last-minute shopping for souvenirs.

Later, we’ll take a flight back to Cairo International Airport for you to catch your late flight (Saturday) or early morning hour (Sunday) back to the States.

Important Note on Return Flights from Cairo:
Most international flights from Cairo to the United States depart late at night or in the early morning hours, typically between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM

If not, the solo occupancy rate will apply.

If you're selecting double occupancy, please provide the name of your intended roommate above. If we do not receive a roommate name, or if your listed roommate has not booked by the time final payments are due, the solo occupancy rate will apply.

  • The $500 initial deposit secures your booking and is applied toward the trip cost. 

  • The final payment is due 90 days before departure on Oct 2, 2025, If booking after this date, full payment is required at sign-up.

  • The cancellation refund policy is tiered by how far in advance you cancel:

    • ≥ 90 days out: Full refund of payments made (100% back) for cancellations on or before Oct 2, 2025.

    • 60–89 days out: 50% refund for cancellations up to Nov 1, 2025.

    • 30–59 days out: 25% refund for cancellations up to Dec 1, 2025.

    • < 30 days out: No refund for any cancellations from Dec 2, 2025, through departure (100% cancellation fee)
