Experience the rhythm, flavor, and culture of the South on this unforgettable journey to New Orleans. From lively music and riverfront views to fascinating history and cuisine that warms the soul, this adventure is packed with iconic moments you’ll never forget.

Day 1: Depart Plymouth, Indiana aboard your spacious, video and restroom-equipped motorcoach as we begin our journey to vibrant New Orleans. Settle into a comfortable en route hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 2: Enjoy a continental breakfast before continuing south. Tonight, arrive in the New Orleans area and check into your hotel for four consecutive nights. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and settle in for your stay.

Day 3: After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of New Orleans. Discover the heart of the French Quarter, the charm of the French Market, and the stories that make this city one of America’s cultural treasures. Visit the renowned National World War II Museum, where a stunning 4-D cinematic experience brings history to life with sight, sound, and emotion. This evening, dine at one of New Orleans’ distinctive restaurants.

Day 4: After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the Destrehan Plantation, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Step back in time as you walk the plantation grounds and hear captivating stories of Louisiana’s past. Visit the plantation gift shop and see live demonstrations before returning to New Orleans. Spend the afternoon exploring or shopping in the French Quarter. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant this evening.

Day 5: After breakfast, set out for a day at Mardi Gras World, where you’ll see how the famous floats are built and learn about this iconic celebration. Savor the sights and sounds of the riverfront at Riverwalk, home to more than seventy-five shops and restaurants along the Mississippi River. Later, unwind on a relaxing riverboat cruise, gliding along the Mississippi as music fills the air. Tonight, enjoy dinner and entertainment to cap off an unforgettable day.

Day 6: After breakfast, we begin our journey home, stopping in Meridian, Mississippi, to visit the MAX – Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience. Explore exhibits celebrating legendary Southern talent before settling in for the night at our en route hotel.

Day 7: Enjoy breakfast before departing for home. Share memories of the incredible sights, sounds, and flavors you’ve experienced — from the jazz rhythms to the southern hospitality — and start dreaming about where your next Dash Getaways adventure will take you.

Included Highlights: Motorcoach transportation, six nights lodging with four nights in New Orleans, ten meals (6 breakfasts and 4 dinners), guided tours, admission to the National World War II Museum, a Louisiana plantation tour, Mardi Gras World admission, and a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River.

Traveling solo but open to sharing a room?
If you're comfortable, we may be able to pair you with another solo traveler of the same sex to help reduce costs. We'll do our best to make a great match, though pairings are based on availability and not guaranteed.   If we're able to arrange a roommate, we’ll adjust your balance prior to final payment. If not, the solo occupancy rate will apply.

Sharing your adventure?
If you're selecting double or triple occupancy, please provide the name of your intended roommate in the notes, email or stop in the shoppe. If we do not receive a roommate name, or if your listed roommate has not booked by the time final payments are due, the solo occupancy rate will apply.
